Hamburg-style steak
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. The recipe for Hamburg steak involves using minced meat. Sometimes it's made from a whole piece of beef, but usually the beef is passed through a meat grinder. But let's go step by step.
1. First, wash, dry, and cut the meat into pieces.
2. Peel the onion and garlic.
3. Finely chop some fresh herbs (parsley, dill).
4. Pass everything through a meat grinder and place into a deep bowl.
5. Add salt, herbs, pepper, and egg. Mix until well combined.
6. Sometimes in this simple Hamburg steak recipe, bread previously soaked in milk is added, but I do not recommend doing so.
7. Form small patties and place them onto a skillet with heated vegetable oil.
8. Fry the steaks on both sides until golden brown crust forms.
9. On a separate skillet, carefully crack the eggs and fry them sunny-side up. It's very convenient to use egg rings to achieve evenly sized portions.
10. That's it—the homemade Hamburg steak is ready to be served. Serve with side dishes, sauce, or vegetables according to taste. The finished dish can now be served at the table.
