Burrito with Ground Meat and Beans

Perfect for the table and with drinks. Burrito is a Mexican dish consisting of a soft wheat tortilla wrapped around a variety of fillings, such as minced meat, refried beans, rice, tomatoes, avocado, or cheese. Optionally, the dish may also include lettuce, sour cream, and chili pepper salsa. Perhaps it is one of the most popular and well-known dishes of Mexican cuisine. If you ask someone what Mexican cuisine is, burrito is often the first thing that comes to mind, followed by hot peppers and so on. Burrito is prepared quite quickly and easily. Burrito with Veal, Rice, and Beans

The appetizer is quick and easy to make. Burrito with a filling of veal with boiled rice and beans, topped with a delicious sauce on an unleavened wheat flatbread… I want to say a few words separately about Mexican cheese. The most popular varieties are cotija, queso, and tacho. While in other countries cheeses are produced in factories, the situation in Mexico is different. The lion’s share goes to home cheese-making operations. Therefore, every family has its own signature recipes for popular varieties. But you won’t find Mexican cheeses on the shelves of our stores, so we use cheese of your choice in this recipe. The same goes for the meat. If you prefer chicken or pork, feel free to make it with that meat. As for the sauce itself, I recommend preparing it according to the recipe—everything fits perfectly here: orange juice, soy sauce, and everything else. The burrito is incredibly delicious and very filling. The ingredient amounts are for 4 servings; I made one. And one serving was enough for two people. Serve the appetizer at the table.

A real burrito is made with a tortilla, but you can use a regular thin lavash instead. Prepare the filling in advance if you like, but fill the lavash or tortilla no more than 15 minutes before serving, otherwise the flatbread (lavash) will soften. No grill? Fry the finished burrito in a regular dry skillet. It can be served warm or chilled.

Put simply, a burrito is like shawarma, but more restrained when it comes to ingredients. What does that mean? That you can use regular pan-fried or grilled chicken and lightly roasted vegetables. To make the dish more moist, you can add white or red sauce, and for a nice appearance, wrap everything in lavash and warm it on the grill. A burrito is a great option for a quick, hearty, and tasty snack to take to work.

Burrito filling

A tasty appetizer for any gathering. This simple burrito filling recipe is not set in stone — no matter how many times I’ve made it, something was always missing at home, and I had to substitute one thing for another. So here I’m giving you a kind of base recipe, and you can improvise however you like — you can even swap the chicken for mushrooms, meat, or even finely chopped salami. So, how to make burrito filling: 1. I pre-boiled the chicken in salted water, but if yours is still frozen, start by boiling it. 2. Wash all the vegetables, peel them, and chop them as finely as possible. You can press the garlic through a press, and peel the tomatoes first. 3. Grate the cheese and put a skillet with vegetable oil on to heat. 4. By this point the chicken should already be done. Cut it into cubes. 5. In the hot skillet, sauté the garlic and onion until the onion turns golden. 6. Time to add the chicken and fry everything together! 7. Add the chopped tomatoes and bell pepper. Turn down the heat. 8. Season with salt and pepper and cook everything through together. At the very end, sprinkle the filling with grated cheese. Done! Now all that’s left is to spread the filling on tortillas, add fresh vegetables and canned red beans, and wrap them up like envelopes. Serve with herbs and sauce.

Chicken burrito

Perfect for both holidays and everyday meals. This recipe for chicken burritos came to me spontaneously, and I am sure every housewife can improve and add to it however she likes. Essentially, all the components in this appetizer can be changed and replaced with whatever you have on hand—it's just желательно to keep the "classic" basics of the recipe: beans, hot sauce, and cheese. Everything else is complete freedom. Shall we begin? So, how to make chicken burritos: 1. My tortillas were store-bought, and the boiled chicken was left over from yesterday's dinner—so if you don't have these ingredients ready yet, obviously, start with them first. By the way, the chicken can be baked, fried, or boiled—it will still be just as tasty! 2. Cut the prepared chicken meat into thin strips or cubes. 3. Wash and chop the vegetables. Drain the beans in a colander and let them dry a little. 4. Lay out the tortillas and spread them with sauce. 5. Now quickly fry the vegetables together with the chicken in vegetable oil in a skillet. Two to three minutes, no more—and place the filling on top of the sauce. 6. Add salt, pepper, and your favorite seasonings if you like. Fresh herbs work great here too, but that's optional, of course. 7. Grate the hard cheese and roll our tortillas into tubes. 8. Put them in the microwave for a couple of minutes so the cheese melts and the tortillas warm up. Done! You see, this simple chicken burrito recipe will appeal to your guests and family, as well as to you—because you can improvise however you like, and the result will still be beyond all praise.
