Wasabi from powder

Minimal ingredients — excellent result. Wasabi is a Japanese seasoning that we usually serve with sushi, but in Japan, it is added to various dishes (noodles, soups). Wasabi adds spiciness and piquancy, and not everyone may like it, but this sauce is definitely worth trying. Wasabi can be used as a marinade for meat, as well as for making sauce. The seasoning is very easy to prepare. 1. Put the desired amount of wasabi into a small bowl or sauce dish. 2. Use only cooled boiled water: measure the required amount and pour in one teaspoon at a time, drop by drop. 3. Each time you add water, mix thoroughly. You will need one to two teaspoons, depending on the desired thickness. 4. Transfer the prepared seasoning, which should have a consistency similar to thick sour cream, into a shallow plate. 5. Let the seasoning sit for 15 minutes—only after this time will it develop its characteristic aroma and taste. Use the prepared seasoning immediately and do not store it in diluted form. The sauce is ready. Store in the refrigerator and serve with dishes.

Wasabi sauce

Homemade sauce recipe. Here is a simple and easy-to-remember recipe that allows you to quickly prepare wasabi sauce. It doesn't require much time to make. All ingredients are simply mixed together and don't need any special heat treatment. The sauce turns out spicy and pairs wonderfully with grilled meat, roasted turkey, chicken, or any other poultry cooked on the grill or pan-fried, as well as with fish. It can also be served with shish kebab. For best results, use homemade mayonnaise and natural plain yogurt without additives or foreign odors. The spiciness of the sauce depends on your preferences and can be perfectly adjusted using wasabi powder. Serve the sauce with meat or fish, or use it as a salad dressing.

Wasabi

Minimal ingredients — excellent result. My friend used to work at a sushi bar and told me they never buy ready-made wasabi. All sushi-serving establishments save money by not purchasing ready-made paste, as it's quite expensive. Instead, they buy inexpensive powdered wasabi and easily turn it into a paste to serve with rolls and sushi. You won't typically find this powder in supermarkets (at least I've never seen it), but if you look for it, you can find it. This powder is made from ground and dried plant root. So, if you've got the powder and want to make wasabi, the recipe is extremely simple: 1. Take a small bowl suitable for mixing the paste. 2. Put in the desired amount of powder and add an equal amount of boiled water (1:1 ratio). Use an ordinary stick or spoon to mix it thoroughly. The water and powder will bind together, forming the desired paste-like condiment. Wasabi can be stored for a long time and hardly spoils. However, I personally recommend not making large batches at home, because within just 2–3 days of refrigeration, the paste will noticeably deteriorate and dry out. By the way, it must be stored in an airtight container. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
