Caesar Salad with Chicken and Croutons
Perfect for everyday dining. The "Caesar" salad has many variations—some add tomatoes, others include olives and lemon pieces, while some use shrimp and other seafood. However, chicken and egg are essential ingredients of this salad. The dish gets its vibrant appearance from lettuce leaves. To further enhance the flavor and add color, I also include tomato pieces in the salad. The dressing for Caesar salad is very important; preparing it correctly is probably even more crucial than the salad's ingredients. The original Caesar dressing is truly unique and distinctive, made with fresh egg, lemon juice, garlic, mustard, olive oil, and Worcestershire sauce. Nowadays, it's rare to find Caesar dressing made with raw egg; more often, people use only lemon juice, mustard, and olive oil. This is the version I suggest. Garnish as desired and serve.
