Classic salad
Description
A simple dish to prepare. Let's make the world's most popular dish—Caesar Salad. The classic recipe was invented by Italian chef Caesar Cardini, who owned several restaurants in the Mexican city of Tijuana. Caesar Salad became extremely popular worldwide due to its simplicity and unforgettable taste. I'm sharing the classic preparation recipe—now you'll always know. Serve chilled.

Step 1

So here are all the ingredients we need. Let me clarify right away: I used a ready-made Caesar sauce (it was brought to me from Europe; something similar is also available here), but if you don't have it, you can make Caesar dressing yourself. There's a recipe for it on this website.

Step 2

I used fresh lettuce leaves, grown by myself at my country house. The lettuce should be as fresh and high-quality as possible to make a delicious Caesar.

Step 3

A whole piece of chicken fillet needs to be seared on a grill pan, or on a regular frying pan, for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until a firm crust forms. The inside of the meat should remain juicy. Boil the eggs hard and slice them.

Step 4

I'll repeat, I already have ready-made sauce and croutons, but if you don't have them—croutons can be prepared by frying small pieces of bread in a dry skillet or baking them in the oven, and the recipe for Caesar sauce is available on this website.

Step 5

Grate the Parmesan on the finest grater, and thoroughly rinse the parsley.
- 6
Step 6

We pour ice water over the lettuce leaves for a minute, then drain the water, let the leaves dry, and tear them into pieces by hand (some prefer larger pieces, others smaller—whatever you like best).
- 7
Step 7

We also slice the chicken fillet into nice slices or pieces of another shape, but the main thing is not to make them too small. The chicken pieces should be fairly large.
- 8
Step 8

We tear the parsley by hand or chop it. But again, don't make it too fine—it should be noticeable in the salad.

Step 9

The last step. Place lettuce leaves and parsley at the bottom of a salad bowl, add Caesar dressing and some Parmesan, then toss. Top with sliced eggs, chicken, and croutons, then sprinkle the entire dish with Parmesan. Done!
