Salad
A simple dish to prepare. What many in our country mistakenly call Olivier salad is actually nothing other than a salad called Stolichny. I don't know the history of this salad, but in our family, Stolichny has always been an essential part of our New Year's tradition. Usually, not much of the salad is eaten on New Year's Eve itself—everyone's attention is focused on hot dishes and fancy appetizers.
