Description

A simple dish to prepare. What many in our country mistakenly call Olivier salad is actually nothing other than a salad called Stolichny. I don't know the history of this salad, but in our family, Stolichny has always been an essential part of our New Year's tradition. Usually, not much of the salad is eaten on New Year's Eve itself—everyone's attention is focused on hot dishes and fancy appetizers. But on January 1st... well, you know what I mean :) Wishing you wonderful holidays. Serve chilled.

    Classic ingredient set for Stolichny salad.

    Actually, the recipe is insanely simple. Cut the potatoes, chicken, egg, pepper, and pickled cucumber into uniform cubes. Finely chop the herbs.

    Combine all the chopped ingredients, as well as the canned peas.

    Salt and pepper to taste.

    Add mayonnaise.

    Using a mold, place the salad onto the plate.

    Serve attractively (you can arrange it as shown in the photo—place a lettuce leaf and some thinly sliced chicken meat on top) and enjoy!
