Beet salad (vinegret) in a multicooker
Description
A simple dish to prepare. You probably all naively believed that vinaigrette is an authentically Russian dish. But this is a profound misconception, as this wonderful salad actually came to us from distant Scandinavia, and its name originates from the French word "vinaigre," meaning "vinegar." Nevertheless, it is undoubtedly true that vinaigrette is widely spread throughout our region, and we can no longer imagine classic Russian cuisine without it. This simple recipe for vinaigrette made in a multicooker can be considered a modern adapted version of the traditional salad. We won't change the ingredients, but thanks to the multicooker, we'll be able to prepare the vegetables quickly while preserving their nutritional value—quite a good deal, isn't it? And if you're lucky enough to own this wonderful appliance, from this day forward preparing vinaigrette (and not only this dish) will become significantly easier. Overall, this recipe is beneficial in every way, and now I'm happy to share with you the secret of making delicious, quick, and easy vinaigrette in a multicooker. Serve it chilled.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients, and peel the vegetables. I took one fairly large beet, but if your beets are of regular size, it's better to take 2 or 3.
- 2
Step 2

Now cut the carrots, potatoes, and beets into small cubes. Transfer the chopped vegetables to the steaming basket of the multicooker.
- 3
Step 3

Close the multicooker lid and set the "Steam cooking" mode for 30 minutes.
- 4
Step 4

While the vegetables are cooking, we need to chop the onion into small pieces.
- 5
Step 5

When the vegetables are ready, the multicooker will beep. Now we need to wait for them to cool down slightly. Then we transfer them to a deep bowl and add sauerkraut and chopped onion.

Step 6

Now add vinegar and oil to taste and mix everything thoroughly. Our vinaigrette is ready, and we can serve it at the table. Enjoy your meal!
