
Elizabethan-style fish soup

For the soup, we will need 1 kg of fish. Clean the fish, remove the gills, fins, gut it, and rinse thoroughly.

Prepare the vegetables and greens.

Cut the fish into portion pieces, pour 4 liters of cold water over it, and add spices (bay leaf, whole peppercorns).

Wash the potatoes, peel them, cut into large pieces, and add to the fish.

Peel the onion. Cut the tomatoes into four parts and remove the stem ends. Place the onion and tomatoes into a pot.

Bring to a boil, skim off the foam, reduce the heat, and simmer for 1 hour. At the end, add herbs and season with salt to taste.
