Mackerel soup
Description
Ukha is not just a dish for outdoor cooking—it's also delicious when made at home. In our family, mackerel ukha prepared at home is especially popular. It can be enjoyed both hot and cold. I've shared my recipe for ukha with you and would love to see other housewives' recipes on the site. The soup is ready to serve.
Instructions

Step 1

Clean the mackerel, wash it, and cut into portion-sized pieces.

Step 2

Place a pot with water (about 2 liters) on the stove and add the fish, 1 carrot cut into several pieces, an onion, and some of the greens.

Step 3

As soon as the fish broth comes to a boil, add the peeled and cubed potatoes and carrots. Add salt.

Step 4

When the vegetables are cooked, add pepper, bay leaf, and turn off the stove. If children won't be eating the fish soup, you can add a couple of tablespoons of vodka to enhance and intensify its flavor. Before serving, place a slice of lemon in each bowl and sprinkle the soup with finely chopped herbs.
