
Pike and zander soup
Description
The soup is simple and quick to prepare. The fish soup becomes so rich that after cooling a few hours in the refrigerator, it resembles aspic. You can add fish to the soup in bone-in pieces or as fillet. Use any herbs you prefer. The soup is ready to serve.

Prepare all the necessary ingredients for making pike and zander fish soup. Clean the fish from scales, innards, and gills. Rinse the pike and zander thoroughly.

Cut off the heads and tails from the fish and place them in a pot. Add peeled and sliced carrots and onion. Add pepper and herbs.

Pour water into a saucepan, bring to a boil over medium heat. Then reduce the heat and simmer the broth for one hour.

Strain the ready broth; discard the rest. Return the broth to medium heat, bring to a boil, and season with salt.

Peel the carrots, cut them into slices, and place them in the broth.

Peel the potatoes, cut them into cubes, and add them to the broth with the carrots.
