
Trout and millet soup
Description
The soup is easy and quick to prepare. Making trout soup using this recipe will leave you satisfied, as the soup turns out rich, thick, and very aromatic. With such a soup, you can surely feed the whole family. It will perfectly diversify your usual diet. If desired, you can add a little sour cream when serving. Serve with fresh herbs and sour cream.

Trout and millet soup is quite easy to prepare. Start by thoroughly rinsing the fish under water, then place it in a pot, cover with water, and put on the stove. Bring to a boil, then simmer over low heat for 15–20 minutes. Be sure to skim off the foam from the broth surface periodically.

Remove the fish from the broth, separate the meat from the bones and skin. Meanwhile, strain the broth and return it to the heat. Peel the potatoes and cut them into strips. Peel the carrots as well, but slice them into rounds. Optionally, you can grate the carrots.

Bring the broth to a boil again, add carrots, potatoes, and a whole peeled onion. After 10 minutes, add the millet.

Cook the fish soup until the grain is done. A few minutes before it's ready, add bay leaf and spices to the soup, stirring thoroughly so that the seasonings are evenly distributed throughout. Add the herbs at the end of cooking. Once the soup is ready, let it steep for 20 minutes.
