Traditional Greek salad
Description
The salad is quick and easy to prepare. It's not only my favorite, but also popular worldwide. Every country prepares it in its own way, sometimes changing the ingredients beyond recognition. However, the basis of a Greek salad always remains feta—a soft, salty cheese made from cow's or goat's milk. Another distinctive feature of this dish is that all ingredients are cut into large pieces. This makes perfect sense considering Greeks themselves call this salad "Village Salad." So, fine shredding or prolonged chopping are definitely not part of this recipe. This simple recipe for a traditional Greek salad, served in hundreds of taverns and roadside eateries across Greece, can easily be recreated in a Russian kitchen. All you need are a few readily available ingredients and 20 minutes. The salad is ready to serve.
