
Tomato soup from the oven with basil

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. You will also need a ceramic heat-resistant pot or a deep ceramic baking dish.

Finely dice the onion, place it in a saucepan, add a little sugar, vegetable oil, and sauté until soft.

Grate the carrot on a fine grater and add it to the saucepan. Cook for 5 minutes, covered.

Remove seeds from the sweet pepper and cut into small cubes. Add the pepper to a saucepan, mix, and cook for another 4-5 minutes covered.

Place the fried vegetables into a deep baking dish (or a clay pot).

Cut the tomatoes into small pieces and place them in a baking dish. Add salt and all the spices there as well.

Finely chop the fresh basil and place it in a baking dish. Pour water over it, enough to cover about two fingers deep, and bake in an oven preheated to 200°C for 40 minutes.
