Hearty New Year's salad

Description

The recipe won't take much time. New Year's salad 2012 is the salad I will definitely prepare on this New Year's Eve. Actually, I've been making it for several years now, just changing the numbers on the salad :) In terms of taste, this salad is simply magical—much tastier than the overused Olivier. And its value in decorating the festive table is hard to overestimate—it looks fantastic, and the inscription with the upcoming year and the little Christmas tree on the salad create a wonderful New Year's atmosphere. I highly recommend making it! :) As they say in the advertisement, quality guaranteed. Serve at the table.

  16. 16

    Step 16

We separate the boiled eggs into whites and yolks, set aside the whites of two eggs for garnish, and finely chop the rest.

  17. 17

    Step 17

    Step 17

Add the sliced eggs to the dish as well.

  18. 18

  21. 21

We also add it to the bowl with the salad.

  22. 22

    Step 22

    Step 22

Separate the boiled broccoli florets into smaller pieces – we will use them to decorate our New Year's salad.

  23. 23

    Step 23

    Step 23

    Dress the salad with mayonnaise.

  24. 24

    Step 24

    Step 24

Place the salad in a shallow dish. Spread evenly.

  25. 25

    Step 25

    Step 25

Grate the remaining two egg whites on the finest grater.

  26. 26

    Step 26

    Step 26

Evenly distribute the egg whites over the salad.

  27. 27

    Step 27

    Step 27

Now comes the most interesting part – the decoration. Arrange broccoli florets around the edges of the salad. In the center, place a little Christmas tree cut out from a thin slice of cucumber. Use pomegranate seeds to decorate the cucumber tree, and with the cucumber peel, write the upcoming year—2013 (I have 2012 here because this salad was made for last New Year's; this time I'll do the same, just changing one digit). In principle, you can decorate the salad however you like—it all depends on your imagination :) Done!
