Description

You can put any salad into this edible parfait cup. It will still look very beautiful and unusual. Making cheese baskets is not difficult, but they will truly decorate a festive table.

Instructions

    Step 1

    1. First, we need to make the cheese baskets. They will need to set before we arrange the salad. You'll need a flat plate. Grease the bottom of the plate with butter. Sprinkle a small amount of cheese finely grated onto the plate, forming a circle about 12 cm in diameter. Place the plate in the microwave or preheated oven until the cheese melts.

    2. Take out the plate with the melted cheese and let it cool slightly. Prepare glasses of the desired shape for the basket. Carefully remove the cheese round from the plate. Place the round over the glass and shape it as needed.

    3. Place the glass with the cheese in the refrigerator so the cheese can fully set and take the desired shape. Prepare all the baskets this way and put them in the refrigerator. The cheese baskets will look like in the photo.

    4. Now let's prepare the salad for our basket. I've already mentioned that you can use any salad for the basket—vegetable or meat. Chicken or seafood salads go particularly well with cheese. Here's an example of a simple salad. Peel the squid body, rinse it, and place it in a bowl. Pour boiling water over it and let it sit for 3–5 minutes. Drain the water and pour fresh boiling water over it again. Then slice the squid into thin strips. Cut the cucumbers into similar strips. Boil the eggs, peel them, and chop finely. Mix all ingredients, season with salt to taste, add mayonnaise, and refrigerate for about 15 minutes. Before serving, distribute the salad into the baskets and decorate to your liking. The salad is eaten together with the "container."
