Classic Hot Borscht

Description

After you cook the classic hot borscht, let it sit for a while so the beet juice is released and the dish becomes rich and flavorful. Add sour cream to taste just before serving. Traditionally borscht is served cold, but it's also excellent when served hot.

    1. First, prepare the broth and cook the meat until done. This hot borscht is especially delicious when made with beef, but you can use any meat according to your preference. Then sauté the onion and carrots in vegetable oil. Add tomato paste and simmer over low heat.

    2. Also grate the beet on a medium grater and add it to the pan to fry with the vegetables.

    3. At the end, add finely chopped bell pepper and a little water. Simmer for about 5 minutes over low heat.
