Georgian-style beetroot
Description
Perfect for everyday meals. Choose juicy and sweet beets, rinse them, then boil or bake wrapped in foil in the oven until tender. I boiled mine for one hour, as it was medium-sized; smaller ones take about 45 minutes. Cook or bake the beets in their skins to prevent color loss. To further preserve the color during boiling, you can add lemon juice to the water—1/2 teaspoon per liter of water. For this recipe, you need coriander (cilantro) or parsley; other greens are not suitable. Garnish as desired and serve.
