Soup with dough
Description
Hearty and aromatic soup. I like this soup because you can truly prepare it without meat. And with a good broth, the soup will always have a rich, vibrant flavor and aroma. Be sure to try making it according to my recipe. Ladle into bowls and serve.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Peel all the vegetables. I use ready-made broth; if you don't have any, you can cook the soup in water or prepare vegetable, chicken, or meat broth.
- 2
Step 2

Cut the potatoes into small pieces. Bring the broth to a boil, then add the potatoes.
- 3
Step 3

Finely chop the onion.
- 4
Step 4

Grate the carrot on a coarse grater.
- 5
Step 5

Sauté the onion together with the carrot in a frying pan with vegetable oil until soft.
- 6
Step 6

When the potatoes are half cooked, add the fried onion and carrots to the pot, add salt, and place a bay leaf.
- 7
Step 7

Prepare the dough for the soup. Separate the egg into yolk and white. Mix the yolk with the butter, and add a little salt to taste. Gradually add flour to form a dough with a consistency similar to that of muffin batter.
- 8
Step 8

Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and add to the batter.
- 9
Step 9

Mix the dough well.

Step 10

You can add the dough 5 minutes before the soup is ready. It's convenient to shape the dumplings using two teaspoons dipped in cold water. Place a small amount of dough onto one spoon, then use the other spoon to quickly push it into the soup pot. Repeat this process to add the required number of dumplings to the soup.

Step 11

The soup is ready. It turned out very tasty, hearty, and nutritious.
