
Soup with Chinese cabbage
Description
Warm up during freezing cold weather with a bowl of hot soup that will be a balm for your stomach. Like all homemade soups, this recipe will bring your entire family together at the table, even those who are on a diet. Serve in bowls and enjoy.

Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients. Pour the broth into a saucepan and bring to a boil. You can use any broth you have on hand—meat, chicken, mushroom, vegetable, or mixed. Depending on the broth, your dish will turn out vegetarian or more substantial.

Wash the potatoes, peel them, cut into small cubes, and rinse again in water to remove excess starch.

Wash the carrots, peel them, and cut into fairly thick matchstick strips. Finely chop the onion. Place everything into a frying pan with a mixture of vegetable and butter, and sauté over medium heat until golden brown.

Add potatoes to the boiling broth and cook until half-done. Then add the sautéed carrots and onions, chopped napa cabbage, peas, salt, spices, and fresh herbs to taste. Cook for another 5–7 minutes. The wonderful, healthy soup is ready. Pour into bowls, garnish with an olive, a slice of lemon, and a sprig of fresh herbs, and immediately call your family to the table!
