
Lentil and potato soup
Description
A hearty first course. Red lentils are great because they cook very quickly and don't require soaking in water. So, if you already have prepared chicken or meat broth, you can make this soup in 30–35 minutes and quickly feed your family a delicious, healthy, and satisfying first dish. The soup is ready to serve.

Prepare the ingredients for making the soup.

Boil chicken broth. Peel, wash, and dice the potatoes. Place them in a pot and pour in the chicken broth. Put on the stove and begin cooking the soup.

Peel the onion and carrot, wash and cut into pieces of arbitrary size. Place in a frying pan.

Pour in refined sunflower oil and simmer these vegetables over low heat for 10 minutes.

Then place in a pot.

Rinse the lentils well in cold water and add them to the soup when the vegetables are almost done. Season the soup with salt and pepper.

Cook the soup for another 10 minutes and turn off the heat.
