Description

The recipe won't take much time. Despite all the simple ingredients, the soup turns out very tasty, aromatic, and thick. Sometimes polivka is prepared without potatoes, but with them it becomes not only tastier but also thicker. If desired, you can add the aromatic water in which the mushrooms soaked to the soup—this will make it even more delicious. Serve the soup hot.

    Ingredients are given for a 1-liter pot. Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Peel and wash the potatoes and onions.

    The mushrooms need to be soaked in advance, before preparing the soup. Place them in a deep bowl, pour boiling water over them, cover with a saucer, and let them soak for an hour.

    Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan or pot with a thick bottom, add chopped onion, and sauté for a couple of minutes.

    Slice the swollen dried mushrooms and add them to the onion; sauté for a few more minutes.

    Pour in almost all of the broth or plain water, add a bay leaf, and simmer over low heat for about 20 minutes.

    Dice the potatoes finely, add them to the pot, and cook for another 15 minutes.

    Dissolve the flour in the remaining broth or in cold water.
