Oriental-style soup
Description
Hearty and aromatic soup. If you don't like spicy soups, you can omit the chili pepper. As for spices, I use a blend of aromatic spices for soups, but you can use your favorite individual options—thyme, rosemary, Italian herbs, khmeli-suneli, paprika, dried garlic, etc. Serve the soup with fresh herbs, and you can also add a few slices of tasty bread. The soup is ready to serve.

Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients. Make the broth in advance; you can use not only chicken broth but also meat broth.

Step 2

Peel the onion and cut into small cubes. Slice the chili pepper into small rings. Instead of chili, you can use regular sweet pepper.

Step 3

Rinse the tomato and dry it, then cut the tomato into small cubes.

Step 4

Heat a skillet and add vegetable oil, then add onion and chili pepper, and sauté for a few minutes. Then add tomatoes to the skillet, sauté for another minute, stirring.

Pour the bulgur into the frying pan. You can use plain bulgur; I had bulgur with dried vegetables.

Add spices to the pan, paprika, salt, and pepper.

Pour the hot broth into the pan next. Simmer the soup under the lid for 25 minutes over low heat.
