Description
Perfect for lunch. A traditional Uzbek dish that has been highly popular for many years and is considered a hallmark of the country. Many housewives make the noodles from scratch, although they can also be purchased at the store. The soup is served hot with fresh herbs.

Step 1
Wash the beef and cut it into strips. Heat a few tablespoons of sunflower oil in a heavy-bottomed pot and add the meat. Fry for 5-8 minutes.

Peel the onion and garlic, chop into small pieces. Add the vegetables to the pot with the meat and cook for a few more minutes.

Peel the potatoes and carrots, then cut them into cubes. Wash the tomatoes and peppers, then cut them into cubes. Peel the daikon and grate it. Add all the prepared vegetables to the pot with the meat.

Sauté the contents for several minutes, add all the spices, pour boiling water over the contents, bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 40 minutes.

Cook the noodles separately and transfer them to a colander. Distribute the noodles onto plates, then add the contents of the pot on top and garnish the dish with chopped herbs. Serve lagman hot.
