Description

Perfect for lunch. The aromatic soup turns out very similar in taste to rassolnik. You can replace millet with rice and cook the broth from beef or lamb on the bone. Optionally, you may add vegetable or meat seasoning instead of salt. Serve with fresh herbs and sour cream.

    Prepare the listed ingredients. Peel the root vegetables and rinse them in water.

    Rinse the millet in water several times until the water becomes clear.

    Cut the potatoes into medium cubes and place them in a saucepan or pot with a non-stick coating. Add the millet as well.

    Pour in hot water and boil everything for about 15-20 minutes, skimming off the foam that forms.

    Rinse the fermented grape leaves, roll them into a roll, cut into strips, and add to the container.

    Finely dice the onion and grate the carrot on a fine grater. Add to the container along with salt and ground black pepper, mix well and cook for another 5 minutes. Optionally, add vegetable seasoning to taste.
