Cheese soup
Description
Hearty and aromatic soup. I love cheese and can eat almost any dish if it contains this ingredient. The soup I want to tell you about is one of my favorites—one of the simplest and quickest to prepare, even a beginner cook can make it. This recipe uses a minimum of ingredients, yet the taste of the soup is in no way compromised. Shall we start cooking? Serve with fresh herbs and sour cream.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

First of all, prepare the croutons for the soup. Cut slices of white bread into small cubes.
- 2
Step 2

And send it to the oven. You can fry it in a pan, but why do we need extra calories.
- 3
Step 3

Peel the onion and garlic, and finely chop them.
- 4
Step 4

Melt the butter in a saucepan.
- 5
Step 5

And we send the onion to fry until transparent, or until it begins to turn slightly golden.
- 6
Step 6

The onion has fried; add the minced garlic to it and fry, stirring, for literally a minute.
- 7
Step 7

Add 0.5 liters of boiling water, ground pepper, and basil to the pot. Instead of basil, you can add your favorite spices.
- 8
Step 8

Cut the processed cheese into small cubes, and grate the cheese on a medium grater.
- 9
Step 9

When the contents of the pot come to a boil, add pieces of processed cheese.
- 10
Step 10

And about 2/3 of the grated cheese. Continue cooking and stir until the cheeses are melted. Taste the soup and add the necessary amount of salt.
- 11
Step 11

The cheese has dissolved in the soup, blend the soup with a blender. If you like onion pieces in your soup, skip this step. Bring the soup to a boil.
- 12
Step 12

Pour the soup into bowls, add the croutons, and sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
