
Mackerel and millet soup

Prepare all the ingredients for making mackerel soup.

Gut the mackerel, remove the head, fins, and the black membrane inside the belly. Rinse thoroughly both outside and inside.

Cut the fish into two or three pieces and place in a pot. Pour in water.

Add dill with stems.

Cover the pot with a lid, but not completely, to prevent vigorous boiling. Cook the mackerel over the lowest possible heat for 25-30 minutes.

Then remove the fish from the pot onto a plate and strain the broth.
