
Dumpling soup
Description
A hearty first course. I cook the soup on chicken broth. A bowl of this dish will pleasantly satisfy and warm you at any time of the year. You can add any vegetables, as dumplings go well with any ingredients. This soup will be especially liked by children, so feel free to serve it for lunch. Serve with fresh herbs and sour cream.

1. Pour the broth into a saucepan, place it over heat, and bring to a boil. Peel the potatoes and cut them into pieces. Add them to the boiling broth. Peel the onion and carrot, chop the onion with a knife, grate the carrot, then sauté the vegetables in a frying pan.

2. Pour 0.5 cup of water into a saucepan, add salt, and pour in one tablespoon of vegetable oil. Place the saucepan over heat and bring to a boil. Remove the saucepan from the heat and first add half a cup of flour, stirring vigorously. Peel the garlic and press it through a garlic press into the dough.

3. Add a little more flour, grate the hard cheese and add it to the saucepan, then mix once again.

4. When the sauté is ready, transfer it to a pot and add bay leaf.

5. Dip a teaspoon in water, pick up a small amount of dough, and use a second spoon to shape the dumplings, then drop them into the water. Season with salt to taste and cook for 5 minutes.
