
Lentil soup with milk
Description
The soup is simple and quick to prepare. This colorful and delicious lentil soup is perfect for lunch, and both adults and children will enjoy it, especially with garlic croutons or breadcrumbs. There's no need to add sour cream or mayonnaise—it's cooked with milk. Serve with fresh herbs and sour cream.

Prepare the listed ingredients. Peel and rinse the carrots and onion.

Rinse the lentils in water several times. Bring water to a boil in a saucepan and add the lentils. Gently stir and cook for about 25–30 minutes, removing any foam that forms on the surface.

Dice the onion and carrot into small cubes and sauté in vegetable oil for about 4-5 minutes until soft.

Place the sautéed vegetables into the pot with the cooked lentils and add salt. You can also add a little ground black pepper or vegetable seasoning, meat or chicken seasoning. Gently mix everything together.

Pour in the room-temperature milk and simmer the soup for another 5–7 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
