Step 1

To make the peas cook faster, it's better to soak them in cold water for at least 2 hours. Even better—overnight.
- 2
Step 2

Wash the pork ribs or other bones, cut them if necessary. Pour about 2 liters of water, and start cooking the broth.
- 3
Step 3

After the broth comes to a boil and we skim off the foam, add the rinsed peas into the pot. To make the soup thicker, boil one whole peeled potato in the broth. Cook the peas with bones for about 30 minutes.
- 4
Step 4

Peel the onion and carrot. Grate the carrot on a grater, finely chop the onion. Fry the onion and carrot in vegetable oil for about 10 minutes.
- 5
Step 5

We cut the peeled potatoes into small cubes and put them to boil in the broth. We add a little salt.
- 6
Step 6

We send the contents of the skillet after the potatoes :)
- 7
Step 7

Take the boiled potato out of the broth and mash it with a fork. Add the resulting mashed potato back to the pot.
- 8
Step 8

Remove the cooked meat from the soup and strip the meat from the bones. Cut it into pieces and return it to the pot.

Step 9

When the potatoes in the soup are cooked, taste the soup. Add pepper and, if necessary, salt. That's it. The soup is ready.
