Description

Any meat solyanka is a dish suitable not only for everyday meals but also for festive occasions. And although, in light of recent healthy lifestyle trends, this dish isn't the healthiest choice, it can still be enjoyed occasionally and in small portions. Solyanka is aromatic, hearty, and extremely delicious. As for this particular recipe, it's very simple to prepare. If you've already prepared chicken broth in advance, making solyanka will take about 40 minutes. Use minimal salt when adding pickle brine to the soup. Serve the soup hot.

    Prepare the ingredients for making solyanka.

    Boil the chicken. To do this, place the chicken leg in a saucepan, pour in water, and bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat and skim off the foam.

    Cook the chicken until done over the lowest possible heat. Afterward, you can strain the broth.

    Peel the onion, wash it, finely chop, and place in a frying pan.

    Pour in refined sunflower oil and 50 ml of chicken broth. Cover with a lid and simmer the onion with the cucumber over medium heat for 10–12 minutes.
