Creamy soup with shrimp
Description
The recipe for creamy shrimp soup is very simple—don't be intimidated by the restaurant-style name; the dish is actually incredibly easy to make. I use store-bought processed cheese for this recipe, but if you make the cheese yourself (which, by the way, isn't very difficult either), it will be absolutely delicious. This wonderful creamy shrimp soup is perfect to serve both at celebrations and to honored guests. Good luck with your cooking! Ladle into bowls and serve.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

While bringing the water to a boil, prepare and chop all the other ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Add the cream cheese to the boiling water, stirring with a whisk or wooden spoon until the cheese has completely dissolved.

Step 3

Add the chopped vegetables, bay leaf, salt, and pepper. Cook over medium heat for about 15 minutes, until the potatoes become tender. Then add the shrimp to the soup and cook for 2–4 minutes, until they turn pink. Be careful not to overcook the shrimp, so they don't become too tough.
