
Sweet onion
Description
Minimum effort — excellent result. Sweet onions can be used for burgers, salads, various appetizers, or even desserts such as cookies or tarts. You can use regular yellow or red onions for this recipe. Store the finished onions in the refrigerator in a container with a tight-fitting lid. Ready to serve immediately.

Peel the onions and cut them in half, then slice into half-rings.

Pour olive oil into a frying pan, heat it, and add the onion.

Sauté the onion over medium heat, stirring regularly, for about 10 minutes, then add salt and sugar.

Sauté the onion for about 30-45 minutes, stirring every few minutes to prevent burning. If necessary, add more vegetable oil or a little water.

When you notice the onion starting to stick to the pan, scrape it off with a spatula and add a few drops of balsamic vinegar; cook until the vinegar evaporates, then turn off the heat.
