1. First, chop or shred the cabbage together with the herbs and green onions. Add flour and salt, then thoroughly knead by hand until liquid appears. Place under a weight in a warm, dry place for one week. Remove the weight daily and stir the mixture. On the 7th day, you can begin cooking the soup.

2. For four liters of water, you need 300 grams of ready-made herring hash. Place it in a pot, pour in water, and bring to a boil. Then add meat, onion, carrots, and potatoes. Cook everything together until done.

3. That's it, actually! When serving, cut the meat and carrots into portion pieces, discard the onion, and mash the potatoes into a puree. Serve with sour cream!
