
Sauerkraut soup with pork
Description
This recipe won't take much time. 1. Wash the meat and pat it dry. Pour a little vegetable oil into a frying pan and place the pork in it. Sear on all sides, then transfer to a saucepan or a pot with a thick bottom. 2. Add the diced onion to the same pan. Fry, stirring occasionally, until golden brown. 3. Add the sauerkraut and sauté for a couple of minutes, then transfer to the saucepan. 4. Pour in a little sauerkraut brine and add water. If desired, add your favorite spices and dried herbs to the recipe for cabbage soup with pork. Cover with a lid and simmer for about 80 minutes. 5. Peel the potatoes and add them to the saucepan. Add bay leaf. 6. Add water, bring to a boil, add a little salt, and continue cooking for another 1–1.5 hours. Carefully remove the meat and cut into medium-sized pieces. 7. Before serving, garnish the homemade sour cabbage soup with pork with fresh herbs. That's it—your dish is ready to taste. Ladle into bowls and serve.
