Herring in a fur coat
Description
The salad is very tasty and interesting. The suggested presentation is unusual and even fun. I think children will really like it. We ended up with such a festive and cheerful salad. Give it a try and use your imagination. Maybe you'll come up with something even better!

Step 1
To prepare the salad, clean the herring in the usual way. Keep the tail and head intact. Finely dice the flesh. Arrange the herring on a flat, wide dish as shown in the photo.

Peel the boiled potatoes. Grate them on a coarse grater and, keeping the shape, place them on top of the herring.

Peel the boiled carrots and grate them. Spread a layer of mayonnaise over the potatoes and place the grated carrots on top. Spread mayonnaise over the carrots.

We saved the herring head and tail. Place the head and tail as shown in the photo. Now cover everything with a layer of beetroot grated on a fine grater.

Peel the hard-boiled eggs. Grate them on a grater. Use the egg crumbs to make the coat's hem, collar, and mark the edge of the sleeve. You can use mayonnaise to draw a pattern on the coat.
