Step 1
Rinse the herring, dry it, and cut into small pieces. Meanwhile, boil the potatoes, carrots, and beets until cooked.

In a rectangular salad bowl, pour a little mayonnaise (spread it over the surface), then place a layer of boiled potatoes grated on a coarse grater on top.

Drizzle the potatoes with a thin stream of mayonnaise. Place the herring on top.

On top, spread the boiled grated carrots.

Pour mayonnaise over the carrots. Place the grated flesh of one apple on top, and then spread grated beetroot over it.

Soak the top layer with mayonnaise.
