Herring under a fur coat in the shape of a fish
Description
Perfect for an everyday table. Of course, this simple herring under a fur coat salad shaped like a fish is no different from the classic version—it's just decorated to look like a fish. But even if you're naturally indifferent to decorations, just make the salad; you won't regret it! As practice has shown, children especially love this "fishy" salad. Try it, decorate as desired, and serve.

2. Prepare the herring, remove the bones, and cut into small pieces. You can place it directly at the bottom of the salad bowl.

Step 3

3. Peel the cooled boiled vegetables and grate them. Finely chop the onion and the herbs, if using. Layer the fish, onion, potatoes, carrots, and beets. Spread mayonnaise between each layer.

Step 4

4. Now, use the leftover beetroot to make semi-circles. Arrange the salad in an oval shape, use the beet slices to create "scales" and "fins," and use egg and olives for the eyes. Done!
