Description

A simple dish to prepare. I'm sure you'll agree, this appetizer looks very appetizing. I'm certain your guests will appreciate your originality and creativity just as mine did. These tartlets with "Herring under a Fur Coat" salad won't stay on the plate for long, whether it's a New Year's table or just a family dinner. You can decorate the tartlets however you like—the possibilities depend on your imagination and the occasion. For New Year's, I serve the tartlets arranged on a plate lined with lettuce leaves. You could draw a snowman with mayonnaise, use olives for eyes, and a small piece of carrot for the nose. For a regular dinner, you can garnish the herring under a fur coat tartlets as shown in the photo. Now you know. Serve chilled.
