Herring under a fur coat in a baguette
Description
A simple dish to prepare. We'll make herring under a fur coat in a baguette at home. This dish is very unusual, and if you want to impress your guests, this is exactly what you need. I recommend placing the baguette with the salad inside in the refrigerator for at least 3–4 hours before serving, or even better, overnight. Good luck! Serve chilled.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Cut the baguette lengthwise, but not all the way through. Remove almost all of the crumb.
- 2
Step 2

Peel the boiled beet and grate it finely, then mix with mayonnaise. Spread the beet layer into the baguette, distributing it well inside. On top, place the grated processed cheese mixed with grated eggs, chopped onion, and mayonnaise.

Step 3

Along the cut edge of the baguette, place pieces of herring fillet and gherkins. You can slice them as you prefer, or leave them whole.

Step 4

Now squeeze the baguette so the edges come together and wrap it in plastic wrap. Place it in the refrigerator for 3-5 hours to marinate.

Step 5

Before serving, slice the baguette into portion-sized pieces.
