Herring under a fur coat with cheese
Description
Minimum effort — excellent result. The exceptionally tender flavor of homemade herring under a fur coat with cheese comes from an interesting way of chopping the vegetables — using a blender. If desired, of course, you can traditionally cut them into small pieces. Can be served immediately.

Step 1

1. You can prepare all the ingredients in advance. Wash the potatoes, beets, and carrots, place them in a pot, and boil until cooked. Hard-boil the eggs.

Step 2

2. Cool the boiled beet thoroughly and grate it. Place a small amount onto a plate or in a salad bowl and smooth it out with a spoon. Season lightly with salt to taste.

Step 3

3. Lightly spread a small amount of mayonnaise over the beet layer. Do not use too much mayonnaise, so that the homemade herring under a fur coat with cheese is not too runny.

Step 4

4. Clean the herring and remove all the bones. Next comes the most interesting part – the uniqueness of this version lies in blending the fish into a tender and juicy puree using a blender. Then spread part of the herring over the beet, and add salt if desired.

Step 5

5. Scald the onion with boiling water first, then chop it in the blender bowl. Peel the potatoes and grate finely. Place a layer of herring, then add some onion, followed by the potatoes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Peel the carrots and eggs. Put them into the blender bowl and blend.

Step 6

6. Lightly salt the resulting mixture and add a little mayonnaise. Mix well and spread as the next layer. Repeat all the layers in the same way. Traditionally, the recipe for herring under a fur coat with cheese ends with a layer of beet. Do not spread mayonnaise on the top layer right away. Place the salad in the refrigerator to let it marinate slightly.

Step 7

7. Before serving, you can add a little mayonnaise. Sprinkle the salad with cheese grated on a fine grater. This is an incredibly tender and delicious salad that needs no special promotion.
