Herring under a fur coat without eggs
Description
For the salad, boil the vegetables, peel them, and grate on a coarse grater. Prepare the fish by filleting it, removing the head, innards, and bones. Layer the salad, spreading mayonnaise between each layer. Let the salad marinate for about an hour—then it's ready to serve! Be sure to try my recipe!
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients. Boil the vegetables in their skins until cooked. Peel them. Remove the innards, skin, and head from the fish.
- 2
Step 2

Cut the fish fillet into small cubes. Grate the vegetables on a coarse grater. Chop the onion into small cubes. If desired, you can marinate it in vinegar with water and sugar.
- 3
Step 3

Take a dish or a small plate and place a layer of herring and onion on the bottom. If the onion has been marinated, squeeze it well to remove the liquid.
- 4
Step 4

Make a not-too-thick mayonnaise drizzle.
- 5
Step 5

Next, place a layer of potatoes on the herring, season with salt and pepper, and again make a mayonnaise lattice.
- 6
Step 6

Make the next layer carrot. Repeat salt-pepper and mayonnaise lattice.
- 7
Step 7

The last layer is beetroot and decoration. Use whatever you have on hand to decorate. I used pickled onions, mayonnaise, and carrots.
