Herring under a fur coat without onion

Description

The salad is quick and easy to prepare. In our family, there's one person who cannot tolerate onions in any form. So, to ensure they don't miss out on enjoying this salad at festive meals, we make herring under a fur coat without onions. Actually, onions aren't a critically important ingredient in this salad, so omitting them doesn't compromise the taste. Here's my recipe: 1. First, prepare all the ingredients: cut the herring fillet into small pieces; boil the beetroot, peel it, grate on a coarse grater, squeeze out the released liquid, cool down, then mix with mayonnaise and salt; boil the eggs and dice them finely; boil the carrots and potatoes until done, peel and grate on a coarse grater. 2. Once all ingredients are ready (note: they must be cooled to room temperature before assembling the salad), you can start layering. I layer my onion-free herring under a fur coat in the following order: herring at the bottom, then potatoes, carrots, eggs, and finally beets on top. I lightly spread each layer with mayonnaise (just a little, so the salad isn't too greasy). 3. That's it—simply place the salad in the refrigerator for a couple of hours to let it chill and fully develop its flavor. Ready! The salad is now ready to serve.
