Salad
Description
This recipe is suitable both for a festive table and for dinner. The "Amber Coast" salad made at home is an excellent choice for seafood lovers and those who enjoy spicy flavors. 1. Start by preparing the squid. Remove the membranes, rinse thoroughly, and place in boiling water. Cook the squid for no more than 3–4 minutes; otherwise, they may become tough and rubbery. 2. In a separate pot, bring water to a boil with salt, peppercorns, and bay leaf. Add the shrimp and cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes after boiling, then leave them in the hot water for another 10 minutes. 3. Let the cooked seafood cool completely. 4. Cut the squid into thin strips, season lightly with salt and pepper. 5. Peel the shrimp and add them to the salad bowl. 6. Cut the Korean-style carrots in half to avoid overly long pieces. 7. While mayonnaise can be used in the "Amber Coast" salad recipe, it is not included in this version. The marinade from the carrots is sufficient for flavor. 8. Mix the salad thoroughly and, if possible, refrigerate for 1 hour to allow the seafood to absorb the flavors.
