Salad
Description
Minimal effort — excellent result. 1. The recipe for Waldorf salad has undergone some changes over the many years of its existence. First, wash and dry an apple. It's best to choose a not-too-firm, slightly sweet apple. Cut it into large cubes and place into a salad bowl. 2. Wash and dry the celery stalk, then slice it into thin strips. Add it to the chopped apple. 3. Pour boiling water over the raisins and let them soak for several minutes. Drain the water and dry the raisins. Add them to the salad bowl. If you have fresh grapes on hand, wash and dry them, then cut them in half. 4. Remove walnuts from their shells and peel off the skins. Lightly crush them and add to the salad. The main ingredients are now ready. 5. Now it's time to prepare the dressing. In a separate small bowl, mix sour cream (or low-fat mayonnaise) with freshly squeezed lemon juice. Season the dressing with salt and pepper to taste. 6. Pour the dressing into the salad bowl. Mix everything thoroughly. 7. That's it—homemade Waldorf salad is ready. Serve it on washed and dried salad leaves. Can be served immediately.
