Salad
Description
Similarly, you can prepare any salad with similar ingredients. The key point of this dish is not the exact recipe, but the idea itself. This salad really resembles Santa Claus's hat in appearance, and the ingredients used here are similar to those in the "Olivier" salad. The result is both delicious and attractive.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients from the list. Boil the potatoes, carrots, and eggs in advance and let them cool.
- 2
Step 2

Peel the potatoes, cut them into cubes, and transfer to a deep bowl.
- 3
Step 3

Slice the pickled cucumbers similarly.
- 4
Step 4

Dice one boiled egg into similar-sized cubes. Separate the remaining eggs into yolks and whites. Crumble the yolks and add them to the salad. Grate the whites and set aside for garnish.
- 5
Step 5

Cut the carrots into small cubes as well, but do not use all of them—set aside the majority for garnish. Grate the rest on a fine grater and set aside for now.
- 6
Step 6

Cut the sausage into small cubes and add to the other ingredients.
- 7
Step 7

Dress the salad with mayonnaise, season with salt to taste, and mix well.
- 8
Step 8

Place the salad on a plate in the shape of Santa Claus's hat, and smooth it out.
- 9
Step 9

Place the previously grated carrots in a thin layer on the "cap" and smooth with a spoon.
- 10
Step 10

Place the grated proteins to form a pom-pom and cover it with a thin layer of the "hood" trim. Do not press down the layer, so that the "fur trim" remains fluffy. If desired, the proteins can be salted beforehand and mixed with mayonnaise.

Step 11

The "Santa's Hat" salad is ready. Happy New Year to everyone! Accept my very best wishes for the New Year!
