Before the last New Year's feast, I faced the eternal dilemma—what to cook? The trickiest part is salads. Traditional salads have become boring and unappetizing; nobody even touches them anymore. Something original is needed. But at the same time, it has to be something everyone will like—so experimenting too much with ingredients isn't an option either. The solution—smoked salmon salad. At least, it solved my problem: it was devoured at the New Year's table almost faster than anything else. Actually, you can prepare smoked salmon salad not only for New Year's, but for other festive occasions too—say, a birthday, especially if it's celebrated outside summer. Ingredients.

Boil the eggs hard, then cut them into small cubes.

Cut the cheese into cubes of similar size.

Cut the peeled cucumbers into cubes in the same way.

Cut the salted salmon into small cubes (reserve a little salmon for garnish).

Mix all the chopped ingredients, then add the canned corn (without liquid).

Season with mayonnaise, and if necessary, add salt and pepper to taste.

Place the salad on a nice serving dish and garnish with thin slices of salmon. The salted salmon salad is ready!
