Tomato and cheese salad
Description
A simple dish to prepare. The salad should not be made in advance, as it may dry out in the refrigerator and lose some vitamins and beneficial minerals. Choose juicy tomato varieties and always taste the cheese to determine how much salt to add to the dressing. Don't forget about high-quality vegetable oil—preferably cold-pressed olive oil. Serve chilled.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Wash the lettuce leaves thoroughly in cold water on both sides — this is essential. Dry them with paper towels or a clean cloth. Remove and discard the stems closest to the ground. Tear the remaining leaves by hand into a deep container.
- 3
Step 3

Wash the tomatoes in water, remove the green cores from each fruit, and slice the flesh. Place in a container on top of the lettuce leaves.
- 4
Step 4

Try the cheese for taste. Cut it into portioned cubes and add to the other ingredients.
- 5
Step 5

Squeeze lemon juice into a bowl or ramekin, add salt to taste, ground black pepper, and pour in vegetable oil. Gently mix everything together.
- 6
Step 6

Pour the dressing into the container with the cheese, gently mix, being careful not to crush the cheese. If desired, you can add chopped dill or parsley at this stage, previously washed in water.

Step 7

Serve the salad immediately after preparation.
