Salad with marinated onions and ham
Description
Thanks to marinating, the bitter taste of onions is not noticeable in the dish, so even children will happily eat this salad. If you're preparing the dish for a celebration, you can mix all the chopped ingredients in advance and store them in the refrigerator, adding the dressing only right before serving.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. Buy high-quality ham or make it yourself at home.
- 2
Step 2

Peel the onion, rinse it, and slice into half-rings. Place in a deep container and pour in apple vinegar or 6% vinegar.
- 3
Step 3

In a separate deep container, beat the chicken egg with water, a pinch of salt, and flour.
- 4
Step 4

Heat a skillet and cook the egg pancakes, pouring about half of the beaten egg mixture for each pancake and frying for about a minute on each side. Then let them cool for 5 minutes.
- 5
Step 5

Cut the ham into small strips and place the cut pieces into a salad bowl or a deep plate.
- 6
Step 6

Cut the pickled cucumbers into similar-sized strips, trimming off the ends. Let them sit for 5 minutes to release brine, then drain it off. Add the cucumber strips to the container with the sausage.
- 7
Step 7

Squeeze the onion from the marinade and add it to the container.
- 8
Step 8

Roll the cooled pancakes into rolls and cut them into strips, then add the strips to the other ingredients. Add mayonnaise, season the dish with salt and pepper, and gently mix.
- 9
Step 9

Place the salad on a plate and serve, garnished with fresh herbs.
