Shrimp and croutons salad

Description

A simple dish to prepare. Shrimp are delicious, healthy, and quite expensive. But we should eat seafood. I'd like to share with you a recipe for the most affordable shrimp dish—a shrimp and crouton salad. Preparing this salad is very easy. Boil the shrimp according to the instructions on the package. The rest you can figure out with the help of this recipe with photos. You can adjust ingredient quantities according to your personal preferences. It's best to dress the salad with mayonnaise right before serving, so the croutons stay crisp and don't get soggy. I hope everything is clear, so let's get cooking! Serve chilled.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

Thaw the shrimp, boil them, and peel off the shells. Place them in a large bowl, where we will mix the salad.

You can use store-bought croutons for the salad, preferably with cheese or crab flavor. I don't recommend using other varieties—their spice aromas might overpower the shrimp flavor. Instead, I'll make the croutons myself. To do this, cut the bread into small cubes and dry them in the oven until crispy.

Add the corn to the bowl with the shrimp. I recommend draining all the liquid from the corn thoroughly. Excess liquid will quickly soften the breadcrumbs, while the salad's appeal lies precisely in the light crunch of dried bread.

Grate the cheese on a medium grater and add it to the other ingredients. You can use any of your favorite cheeses, but avoid those with a strong smell. Reserve a small portion of the grated cheese for garnishing the salad.

Lastly, add the cooled croutons and mayonnaise to the salad. You can slightly season the salad with salt and pepper. Gently mix the salad, transfer it to a serving bowl, sprinkle with grated cheese, and garnish with herbs.
